On the 2024 Summer Olympics, Schäfer finished 56th in the flooring exercise and twenty sixth on steadiness beam. She went on to compete on the German Championships, where she received the gold within the balance beam ultimate, and completed sixth within the ground final. This was Germany's first ladies's gold medal at a World Championships since German reunification. In the team ultimate, the German staff of Schäfer, Kim Bui, Emma Malewski, Sarah Voss and Elisabeth Seitz received the bronze medal behind Italy and Great Britain - Germany's first workforce medal in European Championship history. The 2004 European Championships in Ljubljana have been an especially profitable meet for Drăgulescu. Schäfer gained the all-around bronze medal on the German Championships behind Elisabeth Seitz and Emma Malewski. She finished fourth within the all-around behind Elisabeth Seitz, Lisa Katharina Hill, and Kim Bui. During event finals she finished fourth on vault, third on balance beam, and sixth on ground exercise. She ended the season competing on the Cottbus World Cup the place she positioned second on balance beam behind Wang Cenyu and third on ground exercise behind Lilia Akhaimova and Maria Kharenkova. Individually, she finished second on vault and flooring exercise behind Ksenia Afanasyeva, fourth on uneven bars, but gained gold on the steadiness beam.
